See this week’s “Message from Sheryl” for an in-depth discussion of what to expect in the interim, and all of the exciting changes and growth that WWA is preparing for in the weeks ahead!

On the Road with WWA – Khari Turner

While walking through Clarksville, TN, Sheryl and Xavier visited a local artist co-op. They were introduced to Khari Turner, an unbelievably talented portrait artist who added portraits—yes, actual portraits!—of Sheryl, Xavier, and Haywood to the WWA van.

This addition represents the collective efforts of the trio to inspire a nation of walkers, asking people to get outside without the distraction of digital screens and devices. A huge round of applause and gratitude to Khari for helping to make the van into a beautiful and vivid representation of Walking With America!

WWA Event in Nashville, TN – The Turnip Truck

We had an amazing turnout for our event at The Turnip Truck in Nashville, TN. It was wonderful to meet so many locals, make new friends, and mingle with the CMA crowd (and even see Darius Rucker and Blake Shelton)!

Everyone was so receptive to the WWA mission, and we truly had a wonderful weekend. Nashville is a wonderful city (if for nothing else, the peach moonshine is worth a visit!).Once the live bands were playing and those cowboy boots were on, you would never know that our feet had walked 1,000 miles!

A big thank you to the folks at The Turnip Truck for welcoming us with open arms and for letting us set up shop for a few hours!

Message From Sheryl – Highlight of the Week

My Dearest Walker Friends,

First and foremost, I want to tell you that Walking With America is still very much alive and well—but that we will be taking a much-needed, brief respite to regroup. When all is said and done, WWA is much bigger and much grander than I would have ever thought, and it’s a lot to take on! I want WWA to be a household name and to be around for many years to come, and the best way to do that is to make sure that every mile is focused, organized, passionate, and purposeful.

This past weekend was the beginning of a regrouping—I have the wonderful opportunity to take the first 1,000 miles, think about what I learned, and then explore how I can implement what I have learned during the next 1,000 miles.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be taking time for meetings with sponsors, upgrading our media coverage, implementing new ideas for events, evaluating our branding, and more.

Our aim is to pick back up right where we left off and continue walking to Madison, WI. Haywood has some great local ties, and we’ll be organizing a huge WWA event to welcome us back onto the road. (Of course, it’s also going to help that it will be at least 30 degrees cooler in Wisconsin!)

So, let’s get down to it: What’s changed? What can you expect now?

The end goal of WWA is still the same — we are still going to walk 3,000 miles by October 1st. Our vision is still the same — to heal, connect, and gather as many people as we can to walk with us in each community we cross paths with. The only thing that is different is that we realized that we are human! There will be times where each of us needs to hit the reset button — to reflect, to process, and to spend time with the people that we love the most (don’t ever forget how important it is to have quality family time!).

During this quick break, you can expect that we will all be hard at work, brainstorming about our brand, chasing down media contacts, planning new events, and continuing to build WWA into the national movement that it is destined to be.

Until then, my Dearest Walker Friends, stay tuned! Walk with me on Saturday mornings, keep an eye on social media, and check your email for our next newsletter. There are big things in store, and I can’t wait to share every step with you!

Thank You, WWA Crew!

sheryl lynn WWA

As always, this is our opportunity to extend the warmest of thank-you’s to everyone who has contributed their time, support, sponsorship, donations, and help. Every week, I am amazed at how the universe seems to bring exactly what we need, exactly when we need it — and that means each one of you.

Walking 1,000 miles is no small feat, and I could not have done it without this strong network of love, support, and friendship. This network of support is just incredible, and I hope that the continued growth and success of WWA can, in some way, represent the wave of gratitude that I feel.

Thank you to everyone who has been calling, emailing, and texting to check up on me, make sure that I am safe, and most importantly, to share with me their very own WALKING wins and triumphs! I hope to continue to hear from each one of you over the course of the next few weeks. I’ll be sharing my stories with you as well — you can bet that my feet won’t be rested for very long!

You are all making an incredible difference– and not just in your own lives, but in the lives of those you pass along the way, and certainly in mine.

Walking With America has done some amazing things already, and I can’t wait to share everything that we have in store for the next phase of our journey. STAY TUNED for Phase Two of WWA!

On the Road with WWA

As Sheryl and Xavier were walking through Manchester, TN, they passed by Dianna, a local mother of four girls. (Oddly enough, at the same time, a motorcycle passed by with another new friend named Drew, who was riding his Harley across America. What a small world!)

In true “Southern hospitality” style, Dianna put mowing the lawn to the side and invited everyone onto the porch for some relaxation, laughs, and sweet tea. Sheryl, Xavier, and Drew got to meet Karie, Terry, Emillee, and Kathryn, and talk about the benefits of breaking away from social media and just being outside. It was so enlightening to see that even these young ladies were committed to spending time with each other, instead of in front of a screen.

Luckily, Kathryn is also a talented painter, and offered to paint her own mural onto the WWA van! Check out her work below – we are so grateful to have found another awesome local artist. What a wonderful way to remember Tennessee!

Introducing Our Official Walking With America Van!

From Key West to California

With the constant humidity and beautiful Southern sunshine, you may have noticed that we’ve decided to revamp our “Team Uniforms.” Instead of our t-shirts, we’re wearing bright yellow tank tops. Amidst all this warmth and rain, the extra breathing has already made a HUGE difference in our morale and visibility out on the road — and of course, our laundry schedule.

We’ve also added “Key West to California” on the back to better explain what we are doing. So far, the new uniforms have gotten great responses! Every day, we have multiple people coming up to us and saying, “You’re doing WHAT?!” (Or, in Tennessee, they say “Bless your heart – I can’t even walk across the street in this heat!)

The conversation, the smiles, and the instant friendships that jump to life from this simple question are amazing. We can’t wait to keep spreading WWA across the country!

Things to Focus On

  • MAILING ADDRESSES

From time to time, we need to re-order supplies — but we don’t always have a place to send them to. If you have a friend, family member, or business partner along our route that would be willing to let us borrow their address and pick up supplies, please reach out!

  • LOCAL ARTISTS

Do you know anyone who would love to design and paint their unique artwork on the Walking With America van? If so, please reach out — we would love to add as much local artwork as we can, eventually creating a beautiful mosaic of the diverse talent, heart, and soul of the communities that WWA encounters along the way.

  • MARKETING

One of our primary focus points over the next few weeks will be creating an effective marketing strategy. This includes exploring how team uniforms can better communicate the WWA mission, solidifying processes for reaching out to local news media, planning events, exploring local community calendars, and more.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA

Once again, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has taken the time to like or share our social media posts! This is a huge piece of what will truly push Walking With America to the top, and we appreciate everyone’s continued efforts to keep the national conversation going about living a healthy, happy lifestyle. Keep sharing and liking WWA on Instagram and Facebook!

  • SPONSORS & PARTNERSHIPS

We are making wonderful progress on finding and exploring creative partners for WWA. Let’s keep this going– just a reminder to keep your ears and eyes open for any brand or company that could potentially be a great match for Walking With America (keep these values in mind: happiness, physical and mental health, exercise, community, and natural products).

Message From Sheryl – Highlight of the Week

My Dearest Walker Friends,

This week, we did 74 miles in the blistering, 90-degrees-and-climbing heat. Combined with days of sickness and torrential rain, we’ve really been put to the test during this portion of the walk! It’s been emotional, it’s been frustrating, and at times, it’s even been hilarious — but most of all, it has been SO rewarding.

Over the past few days, I’ve had an opportunity to reflect and reevaluate on being present throughout this journey. To me, Walking with America means focusing on being present in every moment — to take notice of the world around you, take deep breaths, enjoy the sunshine, and to make the effort to create personal connections.

I had an epiphany – this journey is all about focusing on feeling good. It’s about engaging with your local community, with the natural beauty around you, and taking time to make yourself feel good through walking.

We have been so blessed by simply focusing on feeling good and connecting with people we meet. This week, I’d love to share this story with you:

In Chattanooga, even though we were sick as dogs and it was raining, we decided to get out and do a 9-mile hike on Raccoon Mountain. We got stuck at the top, and ran across a bus filled with 17 and 18-year-old kids from a youth ministry in Alabama. They became instant friends, and offered to give us a ride back down the mountain!

On our way down, we played TAG with them, a game that Haywood shared with us (we play it almost every day now).

It starts just like regular tag, where you touch someone and then say, “Hey, you’re it!” But this version of TAG stands for Thankful, Appreciative, and Grateful. One by one, these kids went around and shared why they are Thankful (something in the past), Appreciative (what is happening today), and Grateful (something in the future that you are looking forward to).

These kids were all so grounded, with so much love for their family, their school, and their faith. It was beautiful, reinvigorating, and inspiring. It was exactly what WWA is all about – creating connections where you least expect it, even on top of a mountain!

This week, if you’re feeling stuck, take some time to nurture your body and your soul. Focus on what makes you feel good – and I hope that walking becomes one of those things for you! Most of all, whenever and wherever you walk, I hope that you are greeted by beautiful sunshine, fresh air, happiness, and positive vibes – you deserve it!

Introducing Our Official Walking With America Van!

(Or, as we fondly say, “Chris” or “Christie”)

We are so happy to finally be able to show off our beautiful new van! Our first piece of artwork was completed by Florida artist Linda Brandt as part of our new marketing initiative to feature a local, creative take on living a happier and healthier life.

Over the past few weeks, this van has become a crucial part of our team and the overall success of WWA as a whole. It is much more than a creative expression of our journey; it is our home base; our security; and after weeks like this, our MUCH needed shelter from the heavy rains of our newest traveling companion, subtropical storm Alberto!

This is a wonderful start to a collective artwork that is just as beautiful as it is functional. Don’t forget – if you know anyone who would be interested in contributing their own art, reach out and let us know!

Welcome to WWA, Haywood Simmons!

As Walking With America continues to meet inspiring people and create deep friendships along the way, we would like to introduce you to our newest traveling companion, Haywood Simmons!

Haywood is a positive outcome coach and dedicated advocate for health, wellness, and fitness. After interviewing Sheryl and Xavier for WORT FM, Haywood decided to come along for the journey, promoting healthier living and a positive attitude through walking each day.

Haywood brings life and energy to our daily walk through his vibrant personality and dedication to creating deep connections with people. Of course, he also his talent on the drum set and trumpets to encourage everyone along the way to join in and walk a few miles!

When asked why he decided to join Walking With America, he says, “I’m walking with America because I’m an American, and I love this place! When you walk, you meet so many new people, places, and things.”

Keep an eye out on the blog for an in-depth interview with Haywood, and don’t forget to check out his LinkedIn profile to learn more about his vision of health and happiness. He may even continue walking with our team into Nashville, TN over the coming weeks – and we’re thrilled to have him for as long as we can!

Message From Sheryl – Highlight of the Week

My Dearest Walker Friends,

If you’re on the East coast, chances are that you’ve gotten stuck in a few torrential downpours over this past week. If you have some extra dry clothes laying around, send them our way! Our newest traveling companion has been subtropical storm Alberto, and he has been RELENTLESS!

We spend nearly all day outside, traveling on the side of various highways and roads, and camping out at night, so braving the elements has taken on a whole new meaning. Thankfully, we have our van, we have plenty of ponchos– and most importantly, we have our sense of humor.

WWA in Georgia

Laughing is so important – not just for your daily happiness and health, but also for your sanity! This week showed us that the simple act of finding opportunities to smile can provide enough motivation and energy to push through even the most challenging (and wettest) of situations.

There were multiple times where we found ourselves stranded on the side of the road, blinded by huge droplets of heavy rain, and forced to take a break to maintain safe travels. I’ll admit, it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when I set out on this journey!

Instead of getting frustrated, our focus this week has been to let the walk flow right along with the water that comes down. We’re taking it day-by-day, learning not to force progress, and trusting that everything will work out in the end. I’m happy to say that, so far – IT HAS!

Even in the mist of a torrential downpour, I am even more convinced that Walking With America is exactly where I belong. Xavier, Haywood, and I are meeting new people every day and finding opportunities to genuinely make a difference in the lives of others. That’s a wonderful feeling that no amount of rain can wash away!

Now, more than ever, every moment is a new adventure, a new friendship, and a new opportunity to find joy in the journey – even if that joy comes while you’re stranded on the side of the road. This week, don’t forget to create a new connection or nurture an existing one; take a moment to enjoy the rain for what it is; make time to get outside and walk; and most importantly, don’t forget to LAUGH!

It was such a genuine pleasure to spend time with Linda and be a part of the creative process, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with her! Stay tuned for additional details and pictures of Linda’s artistry from Mischele Miller Photography.

We cannot wait to officially unveil our new design and branding during our next Walking With America event. As we lead into Sunday, keep an eye on social media for additional information and real-time updates from Yvonne’s Natural Market in Macon, Georgia!

Brief Team Update

  • Roxann – Facilitating crew meetings and providing PA services for Sheryl
  • Mike – 25 sponsors at $2,500
  • Caitlin – Newsletters, blog content, phone interviews, email support
  • Steve & Todd – Uploading videos to YouTube, brand messaging/posts on Instagram and Facebook, tracking SEO progress
  • Kelley – Updating XL spreadsheet (Georgia dates and locations)
  • Nicole – Route updates/coordination, Mail Chimp assistance

Things to Focus On

  • MAILING ADDRESSES

From time to time, we need to re-order supplies — but we don’t always have a place to send them to. If you have a friend, family member, or business partner along our route that would be willing to let us borrow their address and pick up supplies, please reach out!

  • LOCAL ARTISTS

Do you know anyone who would love to design and paint their unique artwork on the Walking With America van? If so, please reach out — we would love to add as much local artwork as we can, eventually creating a beautiful mosaic of the diverse talent, heart, and soul of the communities that WWA encounters along the way!

We are making wonderful progress on finding and exploring creative partners for WWA!

First things first: have you been to Georgia yet? If not, it’s time to schedule a trip, because these are the most beautiful state parks that I have ever seen! Being surround by so much natural beauty makes me so thankful for every moment.

After all, it’s the process of walking that lets us enjoy the trees and lakes to their fullest. Our days end by reminiscing on every positive moment, relaxing beneath the sunset amidst this gorgeous wilderness of trees and water. Georgia is truly On My Mind, and it’s more beautiful than I could have expected!

This week, I would like to share with you a little bit about where the walk is at and the kind of personal progress that Ruben, Xavier, and I have made as a team.

With the addition of the van, we realized that walking is much more about daily quality, rather than quantity. We want to be safe and healthy, but we also want to reach as many people as possible! We are more equipped than ever to show that we are fun, energetic, and enthusiastic people who are consciously choosing to live healthier lives.

As our daily routine keeps evolving, we are so blessed to have one spot for all of our gear and a safe place to camp out, hydrate, and treat our sore muscles (shout out to Theramu – the official hero of our daily 20-mile walks!).

On a personal level, all three of us are starting to feel and see real changes — our greatest lesson is that pain means change! Aching muscles are toning up, weight is melting off, and our bodies are getting stronger by the day. All in all, our new fitness routine (although unconventional) is pretty spectacular!

There are also many personal changes — together, we are learning how to cooperate, walk, and most importantly, LAUGH. Navigating the interpersonal dynamics of this vibrant, rag-tag group is all a big learning process for us, and we are finally learning to enjoy and appreciate it for what it is.

Nearly two months in, we’re becoming experts in staying positive; identifying what’s working and what isn’t; laughing through the bug bites; owning the tragedy of “Who forgot to bring the food”; and yes, even learning about Boy Needs vs Girl Needs on the road!

From physical to emotional and mental, Walking With America is making us all stronger, more centered, kinder, happier, more patient and, at the end of each day, infinitely better people. Come and WALK WITH US, America : We can’t wait to see you all!

Thank You, WWA Crew!

As always, this is our opportunity to extend the warmest of thank-you’s to everyone who has contributed their time, support, sponsorship, donations, and help. Every week, I am amazed at how the universe seems to bring exactly what we need, exactly when we need it — and that means each one of you.

This network of support is just incredible, and I hope that the continued growth and success of WWA can, in some way, represent the wave of gratitude that I feel.

Thank you to Linda Brandt, for being our very first featured artist and for helping to reinvigorate the WWA dream of breathing inspiration and life into local communities.

Thank you to Keely Webster from RDKL, who drove hours out of her way to meet me in Georgia (and on Mother’s Day, no less)!

Thank you to the crew members, who continue to give their all into making sure WWA is visible, engaging, and present. Thank you to everyone who has been calling, emailing, and texting to check up on me, make sure that I am safe, and most importantly, to share with me their very own WALKING wins and triumphs!

THANK YOU for your ideas, your motivation, your support, and your love. You are all making an incredible difference– and not just in your own lives, but in those you pass along the way, and certainly in mine.

Saturday Mornings – Walk With Me!

Because Walking With America seeks to help people create happier, healthier lives, part of our initiative is making walking a part of our regular routine. In the true Walking With America spirit, I want to remind you that you are all invited to join me me in my weekly Saturday morning walk!

#walkwithme as a way to shake off the last remnants of sleep, after your first cup of coffee, when the dog starts whining, or whenever works best for your schedule! Our ultimate goal is to get everyone in the nation walking together and committed to their health and happiness.

No matter when you walk, don’t forget to wear yellow and to invite a friend or family member to join you! I can’t wait to hear your stories, share in your successes, and see your Saturday morning photos and videos using the social media links below!

On the Road with Sheryl, Ruben, and Xavier

We are thrilled to announce our first partnership with a local artist, marking the start of our exciting new marketing initiative!

Rather than order a WWA decal to decorate the van and advertise the walk, we decided to do some brainstorming on what would best represent our brand, mission, and people. Sheryl’s daughter, Rachel, came up with a wonderful idea to partner with local artists that we meet along the way and have them turn the van into a mobile art gallery.

Not only does this bring a certain uniqueness and vast potential, but it is directly in line with what WWA seeks to do — to engage with local communities an get involved in new ways!

With this new direction in mind, throughout the walk, we will be actively searching for artists within the community that have a passion in designing their own unique interpretation of happiness, health, and walking.

Our first partnership is with Linda Brandt, an artist and author from St. Augustine, Florida. Stay tuned for additional details and pictures of the van, and check out her stunning body of work at the links below:

Message From Sheryl – Highlight of the Week

My Dearest Walker Friends,

We are officially in Georgia, and loving every minute! Florida was beautiful, but it was also marked some of the most challenging weeks that I could have ever anticipated. April may have been agony, but so far, May has been pure magic!

It has been wonderful to experience the joy of making new friends, inspiring those around us, and receiving help just when we need it the most. Last month, we begged, borrowed, wished, planted ENDLESS seeds for the Universe to provide – and now, everything is coming together.

In St. George, GA, we were blessed to have a local Baptist church open their doors to us, providing a full kitchen, bathrooms, and showers for a full three days. After walking 20 miles a day in the heat and sun, those days were absolute heaven!

After struggling to carry all of our things and stay safe while on the road, we have been lucky enough to add our van, Chris, to our team. This is HUGE for us, as we can spend less time planning and fixing things, and more time walking and interacting with people!

Not only do we have a van, but we also have a beautiful yellow bike (we’re calling him Tucker) to help transport our designated driver back and forth.

These shining moments of the universe aligning – finding a van, the generosity of a local church, a new bike – are just the beginning to the beautiful, magical month that lies ahead!

For as many gifts as we have received, we want to be able to pass along just as much love, appreciation, and magic to those that we meet along the way. If you feel inspired to be a part of this movement, you can help by donating at GoFundMe.

Together, we can help people that WWA has touched along the way – like Grace, who had to quit high school at 16 to work and help her family pay the bills. Or Taylor, whose mother was strangled by a man who got away free and clear, leaving her to raise her siblings at the young age of 21 instead of going to cosmetology school.

These are the people who need the love, energy, healing, and positive message of Walking With America! With your help, I am privileged to pass on every blessing – this week, don’t forget to smile, show kindness, and most importantly, WALK!

Thank You, WWA Crew!

We are officially halfway through May, which means that it is certainly time to take a moment and express my appreciation for everything that each of you are doing to show support, appreciation, and love for WWA.

The first month was a struggle to say the least, and now that things are starting to fall into place, I am eternally grateful to have such a large network of support!

Thank you to everyone who has been calling emailing, and texting to check up on me, make sure that I am safe, and most importantly, to share with me their very own WALKING wins and triumphs!

I love hearing you tell me that you left your car keys on the table and walked to the dentist instead, that you took the scenic route around the park, or that you woke up early on Saturday just to get a few steps in as I was walking, too.

You are all making an incredible difference– and not just in your own lives, but in the lives of those you pass along the way, and certainly in mine.

THANK YOU for your ideas, your motivation, your support, and your love. It is my greatest joy to be lucky enough to share this journey with you!

On the Road with Sheryl, Ruben, and Xavier

We are thrilled to announce that our trusted friend, Bobbie the Stroller, will be getting a new companion—Chris the Van! Ruben is in the midst of a 30+ hour drive from California to Jacksonville (what a champion) so that we can have a mobile home base to keep all of our gear, including camping supplies, snacks, extra clothing.

Most importantly, the van will serve as a quick first-aid station for what we like to lovingly call our “Theramu Relief Team,” allowing us to manage the pain and health risks of walking 20 miles a day in a safe, natural, and fast-acting manner with CBD medicinal products.

Each day, we’ll have a driver (Ruben or Xavier, depending on who wins Rock- Paper-Scissors) drive the WWA van ahead 5 miles, bike back, and walk the rest of the way back up to the van.

Ultimately, the van will be a great way to provide a safe, comfortable spot to rest, spend the night, store our gear, and even get a quick respite from the blazing Southern sun. It’s also going to be a wonderful way to increase our visibility and promote WWA, as we have ordered custom decals for the sides!

Keep an eye out on the blog and for next week’s newsletter, where we will officially unveil our new addition to the WWA team!

Message From Sheryl – Highlight of the Week

My Dearest Walker Friends, as our time in Florida inches towards a  close and the edge of Georgia approaches the horizon, I want to share some thoughts that might ring true in your lives, too.

The joy of this journey is that everything is unexpected. On the road, we have the freedom to be spontaneous— nothing is set in stone. For example, when I began this epic walk across America, I had no way of knowing that I would be joined by two full-time walking partners and friends! One month in, I have also learned that you never know how long your shoes might last, how many daily miles you can put behind you, where you will sleep, when the next bathroom break will come, or how many rest days you may have to force yourself to take.

Today, life is more unpredictable than ever—but it is also more liberating than I could have ever imagined. If any of this speaks to you, and there is something on your heart that you need to do, get a plan—take one step a day—start small!

I’ll be the first to admit that convincing my family that this was a good idea was no easy task. Let’s face it, this is CRAZY, even for the most adventurous of spirits! But, it’s also a labor of love, and as much as my family may have feared the worst, today they are my biggest sources of love, support, and help.

You may find that your own epic journey sounds crazy, too—but don’t forget, these journeys are about love, connection, growth, and happiness. Love is huge. Love yourself enough to give yourself permission to go.

Thank You, WWA Crew!

As I reflect on our progress and breathe a sigh of relief that “April Agony” has officially passed (don’t worry, I’ve got plenty more on that later), I cannot help but take a moment and express my appreciation for all of the support, love, family, and friendship that has carried me safely and happily here.

Thank you to everyone who has been calling emailing, and texting to check up on me, make sure that I am safe, and most importantly, to share with me their very own WALKING wins and triumphs!

THANK YOU– Even at 10% completed, the words aren’t enough! It is my greatest joy to be lucky enough to share this journey with you, and to be privileged enough to open a window into your own personal journeys.

On the Road with Sheryl, Ruben, and Xavier

This week, we had the pleasure of running into another walker, Jeanie Grzybowski! With the help of her husband, Joe, she plans on walking 1,800 miles in 116 days on her way from Key West to Maine, dodging traffic along the East Coast Greenway (the nation’s longest biking and walking route).

We were so happy to be able to share some of our Theramu with Jeanie, as she was suffering terribly from blisters (and we’ve all been in THOSE painful shoes)! They were such sweet people, and an amazing team–Joe drops Jeanie off, parks the car five miles ahead, rides his back back, and walks the rest with her each day.

It was wonderful to connect with them, and we wish them all the best of luck on the rest of their EPIC journey!

Message From Sheryl – Highlight of the Week

First and foremost, this week is about gratitude. I am so thankful to have the support of each and every one of you while I am on this journey!

As we near the marker for the first full month of Walking With America, it’-s finally starting to sink in that this is reality–and truth be told, pushing Bobbie from highways to side roads, fighting against blisters, avoiding sunburn, and sometimes not even knowing where our next bathroom or drink of water will be can be stressful, to say the least!

With that said, I know that this would all be IMPOSSIBLE without the hard work, love, support, and friendship of this wonderful network. Thank you for every text, phone call, email, and social media post–you are all wonderful, and I am so grateful to count you all as my Dear Walker Friends along this journey. I believe in Walking With America; I believe in our mission to help our nation achieve a better state of health and happiness; and most of all, I believe in each and every one of you!

Asking people to change their daily attitude towards physical and mental health can be tough. Believe, me I know that carving out time in our hectic schedules to walk isn’t always easy, especially if you don’t already have an exercise routine. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, and we’re out to help everyone in America develop healthier habits!

Luckily, when it comes to improving your health and happiness through walking, you don’t have to set out on a 6-month journey (unless , of course, you are crazy in the BEST way possible)! The great thing about walking is that you can take it slow and build from there.
